If you are uploading your own results, all blood tests must have been completed within the past three months.
Assessment starts with blood testing to understand your current T-levels and other key health markers. Over the course of your 2 tests, we'll check 15+ health-markers and the results will be shared with you.
Total testosterone measures the overall amount of testosterone in your blood, including testosterone attached to proteins like Sex-Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) or Albumin, which help transport it around your body. Low testosterone levels can indicate potential health issues that may need addressing.
Free testosterone measures the amount of testosterone not bound to proteins, which is available for your body to use. It’s important because it shows the active testosterone levels that can directly affect your health and well-being.
A comprehensive test that checks your red and white blood cells and platelets. It helps identify conditions like anemia, infections, and other blood-related disorders.
E/LFTs measure the levels of electrolytes (like sodium and potassium) and assesses liver function. It helps detect issues like dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and liver diseases.
Kidney Function measures the levels of urea, electrolytes, and creatinine in your blood, giving an evaluation of how well your kidneys are functioning and also helping identify possible kidney dysfunction and electrolyte imbalances.
Magnesium tests measures the level of magnesium in your blood. Magnesium is an essential mineral for muscle and nerve function, blood sugar control, and bone health. Abnormal levels can indicate various health issues.
This test measures the levels of cholesterol (total, HDL, LDL) and triglycerides in your blood. It assesses your lipid profile and helps build a picture of your risk for cardiovascular diseases.
Glucose testing measures the level of sugar in your blood and helps diagnose diabetes and monitor blood sugar levels over time.
CRP measures the level of C-reactive protein, which is a marker of inflammation. Elevated levels can indicate inflammation in the body, which may be related to different health conditions.
This measures the levels of estradiol (a form of oestrogen) and Sex-Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) in your blood, providing insights into hormone balance and reproductive health.
SHBG binds to sex hormones, including testosterone, and regulates their availability to the body. High or low levels can affect hormone balance and overall health.
This panel measures the levels of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Luteinising Hormone (LH), prolactin, and progesterone in your blood. It helps in evaluating reproductive health and identifying hormonal imbalances.
Measures the levels of different fats in your blood, including HDL (good cholesterol) and LDL (bad cholesterol). The ratio helps assess your risk of heart disease and guides dietary and lifestyle changes.
This test measures the levels of Dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS) and cortisol in your blood.
These hormones are involved in stress response and metabolic functions, and their levels provide insights into adrenal gland health.
IGF-1 + GH measures the levels of Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1) and Growth Hormone (GH) in your blood. It helps assess growth hormone activity and overall growth health.
Measures the level of PSA in your blood, a protein produced by the prostate gland. High levels can indicate prostate issues, including enlargement, inflammation, or cancer.

These tests are for patients considering TRT for the first time. The exact tests required can be found above in the “required blood tests to get started” section.
If you have had blood tests completed within the past 3 months which meet our threshold (see above for “required blood test results to get started”), you can upload them and our team will review them.

Testing on two different days ensures accurate and consistent results by accounting for daily fluctuations in testosterone levels. It’s best practice and ensures maximum accuracy.
Additionally, at CactusMen, we conduct the testing in two phases to keep costs low, ensuring patients don’t spend money on more in-depth tests if initial results indicate that they are definitely not eligible for TRT.
While this is rare, it can happen. If your second test shows that you are not suitable for treatment based on a clinical decision, we will provide you with a full refund for the cost of the subscription, ensuring you don’t pay for unnecessary treatments.
*please note that the cost of the blood testing will not be refunded as this is provided via a third party service
No. iMedical is a completely separate entity and we receive no financial benefit.
We have agreed fixed rates with iMedical for patients from CactusMen to ensure competitive pricing & convenient, nationwide access. but any arrangement for blood testing is between the patient and iMedical.
You should receive your results via email within 2-3 working days. If you order tests through our partner iMedical, they will be sent by default to CactusMen for review.
This will depend on where you are on the range, as well as other symptoms displayed. Specific approaches should be tailored to patients based on their individual health, and this will be determined by a partner GP once blood test results are completed.
Your suitability for treatment will be determined by an Australian-licensed practitioner. Low testosterone levels alone do not guarantee that you will be suitable for treatment, as all decisions are based on a comprehensive medical evaluation.
A clinician may deem it not suitable to treat any patient for reasons such as not being eligible, or patients not completing the required steps in treatment.
